VRF® II SERIES

Point Level Measurement

The VRF® II Series uses radio frequency to detect the presence or absence of material in a vessel. It compensates for the load of the probe and vessel environment to automatically determine the optimal operating frequency for the greatest sensitivity and stability.

EASY INSTALLATION

With universal power and easy calibration, the VRF II capacitance level sensor can be installed quickly and with ease. The unit can be either AC or DC powered and with insensitive polarity the wiring is less complex. EZ-CAL II permits the user to attach the VRF II bin level switch to the vessel and immediately begin sensing material.

SENSITIVITY & CONTROL

With adjustable time delay and sensitivity settings, the VRF II capacitance level switch can be configured to specific applications and material characteristics.

Technology: Capacitance
Applications: Adjustable sensitivity to detect wide range of dry bulk materials

TEST FOB

The FOB is a unique feature that can determine if the unit is functioning properly without removing the cover; it can also be used to calibrate the VRF II. By being able to keep the unit in place and the cover on, the Test FOB can help save on unnecessary maintenance costs and troubleshooting. It is only available with Advanced units, but does also work with Remote units

PRO-GUARD™

When a probe senses a change in the state of the level of material, it triggers the alarm; however, sometimes due to the characteristics of the material, like being sticky or an extremely fine powder, material will begin to adhere to the probe, which can cause a false alarm. Bindicator has probes specifically designed to ignore material build-up and only alarm when a change in level has been detected.

REMOTE OPTIONS

There are two installation options available for the VRF II - an integral unit combines the probe and the electronics into one unit or the remote option, separates the electronics away from the process. Remote units are used to either locate the electronics, including the indicator lights, in a more convenient location so they can be seen or serviced more easily or to move the electronics out of environments with higher operating temperatures. A remote unit may be mounted up to 100 ft (30 m) away from the probe.

GLOBAL APPROVALS

VRFII is available with UL approval (for both the US and Canada) and CE marking (electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives) for ordinary locations or explosion proof and dust ignition proof hazardous area ratings. 3A Sanitary is also available for Food Grade applications.
